    String Contingent Concert at Nest

    String Contingent Concert at Nest
New Accoustic Music for violin, guitar and double Bass from Scotland/Australia performing in Tumbarumba.

Join us for an uplifting afternoon with this Virtuosic instrumental trio.  The String Contingent compose and perform music of sparkling beauty and originality that explores the full spectrum of musical expression. They are on tour and performing in Tumbarumba for one concert only.

Australians Chris Stone (violin) and Holly Downes (double bass) with Scotsman Graham McLeod (guitar) integrate disparate musical styles through their own refined acoustic sensibilities.
Drawing from genres including celtic, classical, jazz and bluegrass, The String Contingent burnish their original compositions through the clarity and precision of a meticulous ‘chamber music’ ethos. Their multi-faceted approach results in highly accessible yet sophisticated music that captivates audiences from any genre, while retaining their own unique style.

Eastern Riverina Arts and Nest have worked together to bring this one - off performance on Sunday 3 March at 2pm.
Tickets to the concert are just $25 and are on sale now at Eastern Riverina Arts Eastern Riverina Arts Bookings

Nest will be open from 1:30pm with Coffee, Tea, Wine and delicious treats available prior to the 2pm performance. Afternoon tea will also be available during intermission.

Treat yourself to an elegant Sunday afternoon occasion of rarity in the country.  Book your tickets early as seats are limited.

    To Market to Market

    To Market to Market

To market to market to buy a fresh [insert here the seasons best produce].   Do you love buying direct from the grower or artisan who crafted your goods? Well in the Tumbarumba locale we have some wonderful produce grown by charming people and creatives who make allsorts of giftware and useful items.

Conveniently for you and I, these growers and makers gather their wares and make up our 'Local Produce & Handmade Market' on the lawns of Nest every third Saturday of the month from 9am - 12noon.

Since 2010 when it began, we've seen seasons and produce change and delight in welcoming new stall holders all the time.  According to the seasons and inspirations you can find fresh vegetables(Mark is pictured with his harvest in Feb 2011), berries, fruit, chestnuts, eggs, jams, relishes, sauces, herbs, plants and seedlings, jewellery, metal art, wooden toys & furniture, baby clothes & accessories, handmade clothes, pre-loved books, essential oils & candles, massage, honey, handmade stationery, vintage wares, goats milk soaps... goodness!

Without the individuals in the community and travellers who come, browse, buy and chat  with our producers, there of course wouldn't be a market; so thank you if this is you and we invite you and everyone to keep coming and supporting our local growers.

If you make or grow anything (don't be shy now) and are interested in a stall give Laura a call on 6948 2950.
