Milla Bush Tonics - a sparkling start to Spring

Milla Bush Tonics - a sparkling start to Spring

We are pleased as punch to introduce a new lineup of gourmet Australian drinks.    It's also easier, more delicious and more natural than your everyday punch.

The award winning Milla Bush Cordials have been featured in Nest for a year now and so we're excited to bring an expanded range with a fizz available on our menu, picnic hampers or bottles to take home.

Having established a reputation for unearthing and combining interesting, delicious Australian bush flavours with locally-grown fruit, Millamolong Australia is now introducing Milla Bush Tonics to add to their award-winning range of Milla Cordials.

These sparkling, ready-to-drink Milla Bush Tonics are now available in two of their most popular Milla Cordial flavours – Apple, Ginger & Rosella (No Added Sugar) and Ruby Grapefruit & Lemon Aspen.  With a no added sugar option in the range, these tonics are set to take off this summer.

The whole family will love the Apple, Ginger & Rosella Milla Bush Tonic as it contains locally grown apples from Orange, Australian ginger and to boot – No Added Sugar. Ginger is rich in magnesium, potassium and vitamin B6, and this was one of the earliest ingredients used by the first European settlers in Australia who valued the health benefits and amazing flavour. The beautiful and iconic Rosella flowers are grown further North and West in Australia, with lots of vitamin C these flowers are gently squeezed into the tonic for their precious juice, and gorgeous crimson colour.

Make your heart zing with the zesty Ruby Grapefruit & Lemon Aspen Milla Bush Tonic, packed with bubbles and ideal as a thirst quencher for every day as well as a mixer. Simply serve with lashings of ice and mint, and garnish with a slice of grapefruit and add a generous measure of vodka for the ultimate sundowner. Buzzing with bush flavor and vitamin C, Lemon Aspen, is a native Australian bush food found in tropical North Queensland with a tart, bitter lemon taste. It’s a marriage made in heaven when combined with ruby grapefruit juice.

“Due to popular demand we’ve added fizz - and a lot of bush sparkle - to our much loved range of 100% Australian-owned and grown Milla Cordials,” explains Camilla Strang, co-founder of Milla Cordials. “Our ready-made and ready-to-drink Milla Bush Tonics are the perfect match for long, lazy Aussie summer afternoons. Take them along to picnics and bbqs in backyards, gardens, parks and beaches – your friends and family will love you for it.”

Each Milla Bush Tonic flavour has been carefully and meticulously crafted to achieve a delicate balance of flavours, using Australian bush ingredients and local Aussie fruit.

Nest is delighted to support the Tumbarumba Health Expo on 9-10 September and in the spirit of good health we're giving complimentary glasses of Milla Cordial with any meal or movie Expo guests enjoy at Nest.

    Shiraz off the vine

    Shiraz off the vine

Shiraz grapes sundried on the vine and now available to eat or take home from Nest.

Lankeys Creek vineyard is where this original product is grown, harvested and packaged.  Given the abundance of grapes in our locality grown for wine making, we think it's a great idea to sell the grapes, not just wine.

Sundried naturally, they are sweet and full of flavour without preservatives and chemicals - perfect!   We use them on a grazing platter for our lunch menu and tonight I added them to a slow cooked lamb roast with red wine and they went all plump and juicy again. YUM.

Available in 100g and 500g packets to take home at Nest.  Love to hear how you use them.
