    Meet the Winemaker

Meet the Winemaker We've been meaning to introduce you to this guy. Responsible for many of our locally produced bottles of drinking pleasure in beautiful reds and whites, he also has his own label.  This talented young winemaker who has made an international impression on the wine scene, is a local in these parts now and will be bringing his wine to you personally on Saturday 16 November at Nest.

A feature event of the 'Tumbarumba Tastebuds - A Lush Spring Affair' Nest is hosting a special night of Good Food, Fine Wine and a Fab Film.  As Tumbarumba is making a big name for itself on the wine scene and as this weekend is all about food and wine, we had to show the film "Red Obsession". And given one of our finest local wine labels is "Obsession", well, we got talking and want to treat you...

On Saturday 16 November, every cinema ticket holder for the 6pm or 8pm session will also get a glass of Obsession wine, personally served to you by the young gun winemaker behind the brand.

Armchair Cinema Tickets are $16 and include your glass of Obsession.
    You could....
Book in for dinner from 6pm and then recline to the Cinema session at 8pm, or
Be wined and dined while enjoying the film at 6pm or 8pm or,
Enjoy some wine and cheese in the 6pm session and dine afterwards in our restaurant...

Call the Nest ladies on 69482950 for all film and /or dinner bookings or if we have confused you in anyway.

Here is a little more about Adrian and his Wine label Obsession:

Obsession is the label by Brayne Estate which is created to express the finest  of cool climate fruit.  Arguably the regions most stand out wines, handcrafted  with passion  by winemaker Adrian Brayne with fruit sourced from selected vineyards in the region  ranging from 450m-842m.  These premium wines include Chardonnay, Shiraz, Sauvignon blanc, Pinot gris and Pinot noir. With icon range Obsession being realised only when the quality is at its best.

“A most fascinating documentary about the wine industry made by Australian filmmakers Warwick Ross and David Roach. This beautifully shot and constructed film… It is absolutely fascinating, jaw-dropping in some instances when you realize what prices are being talked about here, but at the same time the film is more than the sum of its parts. It's about the commodification of wine, the marketing of brands, the buying for status, it's a cautionary tale of our times. And all this began when Warwick Ross sat next to Master of Wine Andrew Caillard on a plane to London. The journey began there but went on to France, Hong Kong and the outer reaches of China. It really is an epic tale…”
