    As part of the Open Gardens, Flower Show & Cellar Doors open in Tumba this 7-8 November, Nest is host to a Spring burst of events.


    Open Friday Saturday Sunday for Tumbarumba Tastebuds Lush Spring Affair, we are featuring some distinctly Spring events.

    Local Produce & Handmade Market

    WHEN:Saturday 9am-12noon
    WHERE: Lawns of Nest
    FREE! Browse among the wares of local makers and growers and find treasures to take home, unique to our cool climate region.  Hazelnuts, Wines, Jams, relishes, Seedlings, Plants,Cordials, handmade clothing, jewellery, stationery...
    ALSO: Wine tastings from Tumbarumbas oldest & smallest vineyard - Mount Tumbarumba Vineyard. 10am-4pm for tastings of their On The Fly range of wine. You can enjoy dishes from our lunch menu too paired with their wines.

    Nest in the Night Garden Spring Degustation

    WHEN: Saturday 6pm
    WHERE: Nest Garden (weather permitting, alas it will still be an indoor garden experience)
    COST: $119 for a 6 course Feast of dishes showcasing Spring, Produce from our garden & the Region each matched with wine from the vineyards of our glorious locale.
    Wine maker Adrian Brayne, Vigneron Richard Cottam and Fine Wine Specialist Alex Berry will be chatting with us and imparting their insider wisdom on the virtues of wine with food.

    Spring Garden Family Picnic

    Fancy a spot of Croquet, Chardonnay & Cheese or Hoola hoops with Honey popcorn or Lazy Grazing in the Gazebo? Join us for breakfast, lunch and all day grazing along with old fashioned picnic games available for everyone.
    WHEN: Sunday 9am - 4pm
    WHERE: The lawns of Nest
    COST: Games complimentary with any drinks or eats purchased.

    The 1993 remake of The Secret Garden is a rendition of the classic Frances Hodgon Burnett novel about a young girl (Kate Maberly) who discovers an abandoned garden on her uncle's large Victorian country estate, as well as an invalid cousin she didn't realize she had. With the help of a local boy, the girl sets out to restore the garden and, once it is blooming again, she discovers it has magical powers.
