food under the stars. Meet local growers in a casual outdoorsy, fire smoky setting.

Explore, taste and discover our local farmers and their high country harvest over dinner, drinks and fireside (inside) chats at our Nest long table. You'll find local produce every day on our menu, but we've invited a few farmers to share some of their story and showcase their produce over these three dinner events.

SATURDAY 8 JUNE, 10:30AM–3PM • $55
Discover winter wonders of this high country hazelnut and fruit orchard. Craig & Bindi of Happy Wombat Hazelnuts will take you on an exclusive farm tour of their pioneering and picturesque orchard. Linger over lunch
around the fire before heading to the regions newest cidery for tour and tastings with Tony of Crafty Cider. Nest morning tea on departure and Lunch at the orchard by HWH included. Return travel from Nest by Tumbarumba Touring Company.
SUNDAY 14 JULY, 9:30AM-12:30PM • $95
Meet Louise Freckelton, Highfield Farm & Woodland. Preserver, pickler, fermenter, Farmher - Louise grew up eating pickles and remembers the first jar she made in her student days - she hasn’t stopped since. Louise aims at busting gluts, reducing waste and adding a whole new world of flavours via these timehonoured techniques. Gather round our Nest table with coffee, croissants, buckets of local produce and preserve winters citrus sunshine together. Discover more ways with citrus over grazing platters and take home your spoils of the day. We'll be making preserved lemons, pickled cumquat and citrus salt. Limited spaces.
SATURDAY 10 AUGUST, 9AM–1PM • $95
Departure on small tour bus from Nest with coffee & fresh baked muffin to Tom & Judy’s private Alpine Truffle and Chestnut Farm. Meet Truffle growers, the hunting dogs, the hunter and join the search for the exotic Perigord truffle. You’ll be able to smell, touch and taste as part of the tour and enjoy a fireside fresh Truffle Brunch. (Whilst it is anticipated there will be truffles found, there is no guarantee. There will be fresh truffle however for tasting & brunch)
Experience Tumbarumba Cool climate wines at a cellar door, winery and vineyards as part of a small tour by Tumbarumba Touring Company.
